Mickey Mikesell
Grand Rapids Tennis Academy- Director
West Michigan Community Tennis-Community Outreach Director
USPTA Certified Tennis Professional
For 35 years, tennis has been a big part of my life. Tennis has given me some great opportunities after making All American at Grand Rapids Community College. I moved to California where I trained and traveled with nationally ranked juniors for 7 years.
Over the last 25 years, I’ve been lucky enough to play and coach in Europe and South America, manage at different tennis clubs, coach at Calvin College, Davenport College and currently at East Grand Rapids high school.
In 2015 I helped create West Michigan Community Tennis, a local non profit organization and also started Grand Rapids Tennis Academy. 2024 will be the first year that WMCT and GRTA will work in partnership and I couldn't be more excited about it!
